Marilyn Sue Pryor

Marilyn Sue Pryor, age 80, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 20. 2025. She was born on December 1, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Henry and Margaret Fisher Hodges. She was a member of Mt. Eden Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Bonnie Samuels, Donna Dockery and Roseann Dixon.

Marilyn dedicated her working life to caring for others. She was a respiratory therapist, beginning her career at General Hospital and later working at Publishers Printing before retiring. Her Compassion, Professionalism, and dedication left a lasting impact on those she served.

Above all else, Marilyn was true to herself. She enjoyed life fully and never turned down time spent with friends and family. She Loved going to LongHorn Steakhouse, traveling when possible and simply enjoying the company of those she loved.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Sherry Maurmeier (Joe Sr.) and Travis Cargile; sisters, Kathy Kendall and Janie Cook (Jackie) brothers, Raymond Hodges (Kathy) and Rick Hodges; grandchildren, Joe Maurmeier Jr., Larry Maurmeier (Tiffany) and Josh Maurmeier (Stephanie); five great grandchildren, Kaydence, Joey III, Tyler, Alexia and Zachary. along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be at 12 pm Monday, December 29, 2025 at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway), at, with burial to follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 3pm until 8pm at the funeral home and on Monday 9am until time of service.
