Martha Ann Eckler Smith

     Mrs. Martha Ann Eckler Smith, age 72, of Hillview, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 17, 2022.   She was born in St. Charles, Missouri on October 13, 1949, to the late Mary Hollingsworth Stonebarger and Harold Stonebarger.

     She was a member of the Eastern Gate Baptist Church and had served as the secretary.

     Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Hollingsworth.

    She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 47 years, Frank Smith, having united in marriage on September 27, 1974; two daughters, Jennifer Smith-Hobson (Jimmy) and Melody Heise; a son, Joshua Smith; grandson, Daggan James; three brothers, John “Buster” Eckler, Harold Stonebarger (Dee) and Gerald Stonebarger (Joyce); two sisters, Cathy Redeker and Sue Morton (Wayne) and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

    Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, September 23, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in the Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
