Michael Dane Underwood

Michael Dane Underwood, age 57, of Mount Washington, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on May 27, 2016. Born December 19, 1958 he was one of five children of the late Walker Wilson Underwood and Rachel Brewer Underwood. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Judy Davis and Regina Underwood.

He was an entrepreneur at heart and owned Century Cleaning Service for 27 years. He was also a real estate agent with Realty Marketplace. He didn't have much time for hobbies, but would rather have been playing golf with his sons, on the dance floor with his wife, or driving his Mustang down the highway. He passed on to his family his love for UK basketball, his entrepreneurial spirit, his belief that family is everything and his love for the Lord. He loved being generous and helping others behind the scenes. His children and grandchildren will remember him as the best Teacher, Coach, Block, Cheer Dad and Papaw there ever was. #UNDERWOODSTRONG

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Sheppard Underwood; two children, Rob Underwood (Tara) and Kim Hourigan (Marc); two stepchildren, Joshua and Abigail Tucker; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nathan Underwood and Raegan Hourigan; two brothers, Melvin Underwood (Dianna) and Ricky Underwood (Linda); along with numerous other family and friends who he loved.

Arrangements to celebrate his life are at noon on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 and one mile east of Bardstown Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1-8 pm at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
