Michael Edward Young, Sr.

Mr. Michael Edward Young, Sr., age 66, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on August 25, 2021. Mr. Young was born on December 23, 1954 in Louisville, KY to Dorothy (Slinker) McCloud and the late Carl Young. He retired from Gordon Food Service as a receiving clerk and was a member of Church of the Harvest.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Kim (Lunsford) Young; children, Michael Young, Jr. (Kayte Jo), Danielle Holcomb (Justin), and Trisha Lee (Craig); grandchildren, Landon, Caden, Gracie, Valerie, and Ian; mother, Dorothy (Slinker) McCloud; siblings, Linda Lanham (Jim), Cathy Karcher, and Vickie Logsdon; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens.
