Mildred Lucille Daniel

It is with great sadness we announce our mother’s passing, Mrs. Mildred Lucille Daniel, age 94, of Fairdale, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was born on June 2, 1928, in Ohio County, Kentucky. Mrs. Daniel was a homemaker and cared for her 9 loving children. She was a member of the Amaranth Lodge, she enjoyed playing the piano, she loved gardening her flowers, and occasional trips to Florida. However, most of all she loved her family and friends, and she will be truly missed by them all. Preceding her in death is her parents, Henry S., and O'Dessie Barnes; beloved husband, Charles H. Daniel Sr.; daughter, Laura Ploetner; son, Alva Cox, Jr.; her four brothers, Gilbert, Elmer, Leon, and James Barnes, and half-sister Anna Frances Geary.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, daughters, Marchelle Joseph, Anna Al-Shami (Nadir), Maple Lyons; sons, Charles Daniel, Jr., (Donna) Henry M. Daniel, James A. Daniel (Sharry), Dwight D. Daniel (Lynda); stepdaughter, Constance Daniel; daughter-in-law, Monica Cox; 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Amaranth service will be held Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m., with Christian service to follow for those who would like to attend. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday April 13, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
