Mrs. Mildred Sewell, age 80, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Mrs. Sewell retired from Bullitt County School System and was a member of Fisherville Church of Christ.
Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Millard Lee Sewell; parents, Noah and Ethel Moore and sisters, Virginia Higgs, Ada Couch and Marie Burns.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tammi Thomas (Scott), Tony Sewell (Melissa), Carol James (Rick), Mike Sewell, Donna O’Bryan and Jerry Sewell; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Curtis Moore; sisters, Betty Brown and Vivian Shelburne and a host of many other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 east one mile from Bardstown Rd.) with burial at Valley Cemetery (Taylorsville, KY). Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
