Ms. Myrtle B. Harrod, age 87, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Ms. Harrod was born in Blue Diamond, KY on March 6, 1932 to the late Roscoe F. Brock and Elizabeth Couch Moore. She was Pentecostal by faith and will be remembered for her generous spirit. She donated all that she had to many charities including Wounded Warriors, VFW, Shepherdsville Fire Dept., St. Jude Children’s Research and the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
Among those who preceded her in death are, her granddaughters, Loretta Baker and Amy Neace; siblings, Charles F. Block, Henry Brock and Orga Brock and her former husband, Joseph Pike.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, James Neace (Laura); grandchildren, Alice Abell (Tom), Jaime Phelps (Bill) and Charlie Neace; 10 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; her beloved canine companions, Pedro and Bruiser and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
