Nona Kathy Marsh died peacefully on December 8, 2022, at Hospice, Baptist Hospital East. Kathy died from complications after suffering a stroke on October 6. The family as well as many churches in the area have been praying, believing, and contending for healing, while we pursued the best of medical care.
Kathy has lived these past months in peace that her future-her eternity-was fully in the Lord’s hands. Today the family stands at peace that her complete healing was accomplished through the shed blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ, as He took hold of Kathy’s hand and ushered her into eternity.
“God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev.21:4
Nona Kathy Marsh was born on February 24, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky and went to be with Jesus on December 8, 2022. She was 71 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Betty Polston, sister Connie Mercer (Norman). She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dan Marsh, and their 4 children, Karen Denise Luckett Saunders (Ricky), Michael Jason Luckett, Nathan Scott Marsh, and Stephen Ray Marsh (Shelby) along with 6 grandchildren. Her sisters Sharon Polston, and Linda Graham.
Kathy genuinely enjoyed walks on the trails at Bernheim but more than anything else she enjoyed baking in her kitchen with her granddaughters and teaching them the fine art of making cupcakes.
Dan, along with each of their children are grateful for God’s grace during this time, and today they are rejoicing over her peaceful and victorious home going.
A viewing is available on Sunday December 11, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway, Shepherdsville, Ky). We are all, family, and friends alike, grateful to God for the time He has allowed us to enjoy the wonderful gift of Kathy Marsh. Kathy’s life verse brings comfort to all during this time.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6
Kathy Marsh will be greatly missed on this side of eternity.
