Norman Edward Broughton

Mr. Norman Edward Broughton Sr., age 83, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 10, 1942, to the late Isaac Broughton and Hazel Henson. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  His family was the center of his universe. He radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around him. Norman was known for a deep passion for sport and luxury cars, strong coffee, and a natural talent for building things that lasted. He brought laughter, warmth, and authenticity to every moment. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Broughton. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Broughton; son, Norman Broughton Jr. (Mandy); daughter, Donna Kerberg (Lewis); son, Douglas Broughton; grandchildren, Dennis Broughton and Stephanie Allen (Stephen); great-grandchild, Elliana Allen; along with many other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery.  www.subfuneralhome.com
