Phillip Raymond Shulthise

Phillip Raymond Shulthise, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the age of 82. Born on February 25, 1943 to the late Louise McMahan and Albert Shulthise, Phil worked as a plumbing inspector for the Commonwealth of Kentucky for nearly 20 years, and prior to that was a project supervisor for Edwin C. Jackson Plumbing in Louisville, Kentucky. A proud practicing Catholic, Phil was a devout member of the St. Luke Catholic Church community.

Married to his wife, Mary Kathleen (Miller) since 1966, he was blessed with two children, Jonna Stephens (Paul) and Kevin Shulthise. He was later gifted five grandchildren, Lauren Beauregard (Gavin), Emily Cockrell (Landen), Thomas Stephens, Ethan Shulthise, and Elodie Shulthise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Darryl and Leo. He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his remaining brother Joe Shulthise (Janet), Cheryl Croan, and Kim Ferriell (Joseph).

A remembrance mass will be said at Saint Luke Catholic Church on Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 am. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Crusade for Children.
