Mr. Raymond D. Pollard, Sr., age 85, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on May 2, 2013. Mr. Pollard worked as a maintenance operator for Louisville Produce Terminal and was a U.S. Army veteran. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Henry and Nellie Pollard; son, Doug Pollard; brothers, Hubert (Margaret), Eugene, James and Melvin Pollard; and sisters, Violet Cobble and Iris Angie Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 years, Mabel Pollard; daughters, Sharon Brown and Barbara Berry (James); granddaughters, Jodi Brown, Erin Gower (David) and Julie Pollard; grandson, Russ Berry (Julie);great-grandsons, Hunter, Conner and Andrew Berry and Anthony and Jacob Gower; great-granddaughter, Kayla Durham; great-great-granddaughter; Kennedy Tyrell; daughter-in-law, Sheila Pollard; brother, Donald (Delores) Pollard; sister, Pansy Patton; sister-in-law, Jessie Pollard; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 pm on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 3-7 pm at Schoppenhorst. Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com
