Robert Eugene Baker, Sr.

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Eugene Baker, Sr., age 86, of Fairdale returned to his Heavenly Father on April 30, 2023. Mr. Baker was born on July 4, 1936, in Louisville, KY to the late Robert and Anna (Gambrel) Baker. Mr. Baker was a warehouse manager. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of Fairdale Baptist Church and a U. S. Marine Corps veteran. Among those who preceded him in death are his parents, grandchildren, Kevin Baker, Jr. and Jason Johnson; and siblings, Tom Baker, Alice Burgess, and Virginia Shemwell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 67 years, Helen (Russ) Baker; children, Stephen Johnson, Robert Baker, Jr. (Kim), and Kevin Baker, Sr. (Jenny); grandchildren, Kristina, Stephanie, Autumn, Lauren, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Indiana, Gunnar, Titus, Araya, Ambi, Aria, Luna, Gianni, and Lorenzo.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, May 8, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery.
