Roy Dennis Beam

Mr. Roy Dennis Beam, age 80, of Louisville, KY passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.  Roy was born in Louisville, KY on October 16, 1943, to the late Clyde Beam and Mahala (Bruner) Beam. He retired after 32 years of service at UPS as driver, he was an U.S. Army veteran, he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and enjoyed a monthly poker game with family and friends. He was a devoted husband to his late wife Alice, and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife Alice (Payton) Beam, son, Mark O’Neil Beam, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory his 3 sons, Dennis Beam (Pamela), Michael Beam (Tracey), Edward Beam, 7 grandchildren, Danielle Adkins (Landon), Justin Reynolds (Taylor), Sandie Beam (Mason), Tawnya Mock (Daniel), Tarah Beam, Timothy Plaisance (Marci), Tamara Plaisance, and 14 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Shirley Short, JoAnn Horlander,1 brother, David Beam (Penny), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends. 

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at (4895 Preston Highway) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Tuesday fro

m 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
