Ruth Ann Hale

Mrs. Ruth Ann Hale, age 68, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 17, 2018.  Mrs. Hale was born in to the late Neil and Anita Rose Hunley in West Liberty, Kentucky on June 10, 1950. She had her Master’s in Education and was a retired school teacher and librarian for Maryville Elementary and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She also was a member and a deacon at Shepherdsville Christian Church.  Mrs. Hale loved her school and church families and was in the women’s club at church. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Mrs. Hale was the kindest person you would ever meet. She lived a life of service to her family and friends and was known for sending cards for every occasion to everybody.  Mrs. Hale loved reading and spending time with her family. She loved her family dearly especially her granddaughter Lydia.  Lydia was the light of her life.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 39 years, Glen Allen Hale; daughter, Amy Carole Hale-King; granddaughter Lydia Carole King; brother, Lynn Hunley; sister, Nancy Chase; several nieces and nephews; her church family; her Maryville Elementary School family; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Shepherdsville Christian Church (337 Lees Valley Rd., Shepherdsville Ky.) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.).
