Sharon Kay Hunter

Mrs. Sharon Kay Hunter, age 65, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born on July 16, 1956 to the late Carl Wilson and Lois (Fryer) Wilson in Louisville, Kentucky. She was an avid, faithful member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church here in Shepherdsville. Mrs. Hunter is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Wilson, Jr., James Ronnie Wilson; niece, Amy Marie Wilson; nephew, Adam Richard Wilson; and a host of other family members.

Mrs. Hunter enjoyed the beach and playing the slots. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family and vacationing with her sisters every year. Another past time she loved was going to yard sales and going to different Goodwill stores to find all the best deals. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, John Hunter; stepdaughters, Lindie Hunter, Mary Jane Breashears (Tom), Tiffany Hunter, Angelina Hunter; stepson, John Hunter, Jr.; several grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Wilson, Brenda Kopple (Steve); brothers, Bobby Wilson (Linda), Willie Wilson (Shay), David Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 12:00pm Noon until the time of service at 6:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Eastern Gate Baptist Church (3699 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165) in honor of Mrs. Hunter.
