Sherry Wicker

Sherry Lynn Wicker, age 70, of Taylorsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1955, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late George and Iva Ellen (Lindsey) Doyle. Sherry loved gardening and making crafts. She loved Christmas and being with her family during the holiday. Her cooking skills were second to none; she could take plain sugar and turn it into an amazing dessert. Her family fondly remembers her taco ring and chicken salad. Her family was everything to Sherry; spending time and making memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild are what she held most dear to her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Maggie Thixton and sister, Shirley Davis.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband of 20 years, Charles “Bo” Wicker; children, Jeremy Blythe, Amanda Herdman, Rowdy Blythe, David Rogers (Lindsey) and Eric Wicker (Theresa); grandchildren, Madison Thixton, Hunter Thixton, Alexis Wicker, Sebastian Blythe, Jodie, Neveah Blythe, Cameron Blythe, Destiny Blythe, Landon Wicker, Claire Wicker, Liam Rogers and Harrison Rogers; great-grandchild, Halo Bourdeau; sisters, Linda Ash and Frances Carver; fur-baby, Oreo and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
