Stephen Allen "Crazy M.D." Mahoney

Mr. Stephen Allen a.k.a. “Crazy M.D.” Mahoney, age 67, of Shepherdsville passed away on March 8, 2022. Mr. Mahoney was born on November 25, 1954, in Louisville, KY to the late Chester and Fannie (Rogers) Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney retired from Phillip Morris after 27 ½ years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Chester, Jr., Willie, and John Mahoney; sisters, Bertha Whittinghill and Linda Mahoney.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn (Emmons) Mahoney; his brother, Paul (Jean) Mahoney; and sisters, Rosa (Harry) Einfalt and Jerry Dean Williams; loving mother-in-law, Louise Fritts; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Sherry) Emmons and James Browning; sisters-in-law, Geneva Mahoney and Yvonne Mahoney; numerous extended loving family and friends.

Mr. Mahoney retired from Phillip Morris after 27 ½ years. He was a founding member of the bands Shadows of Time and Hard Luck.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at John Harper-Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday the 21st from 11am-8pm, Tuesday the 22nd from 9am-8pm, and Wednesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
