As our family prepares to say our last goodbyes to Doc, I can't help but think he may have never known how much he touched our lives. Each one of my children share their memories of Grandpa Doc and the time they spent together. My own memories include his genuine smile, mild manor, willingness to help anyone who asked, and a passion for turning a wrench on the blue oval. My wife recounts growing up with Doc and Janice, camping, fishing, and celebrating holidays. Doc teaching her to dance, how he never raised his voice or his hand, and treating her and her sisters as only a patient, loving, father knows how. May he go into the next life knowing the lives he has touched are many, the void his sudden passing has created is deep, and the memories he leaves us with are lasting. I can only hope to touch the lives of those around me the way he has.

We worked with Doc for 20 plus years. He was knowledgeable, dependable and trustworthy. We are very sorry for your loss. He was a great man! He will be very missed by all of us in the construction industry who worked with him!

Steve was loved by all who knew him, I can just see Dad, Pop, uncle Joe And Steve playing a game of five-up just like the old days. May God welcome him and keep him til we all meet again, love and regrets Kathy Edwards and family

I still remember Doc's passion for life combined with his cheerful disposition made for an astonishing character. The most intimate memory I have with Doc is that of him teaching me how to operate his tractor, I can still see the smile on his face.  We want to let Doc know that he did a great job and wish him a safe journey. We will remember his smile, his warmth, his energy, his love for life, family and friends. He worked very hard all his life, up until the very end. He made a difference in the lives of many.

I remember playing basketball with Grandpa Doc, sometimes I win, sometimes he wins, we had so much fun together. I remember going to his work to see him working hard, working in the garage with him, listening to music and playing on the computer with him. I always looked forward to visiting at Christmas, it won't be the same without him. I want him to know I love him very much, and will never forget the fun we had together. He will always live in my heart.

I will always remember playing games in the backyard with Grandpa Doc and my cousins. I will miss you and keep your memory in my heart.

I knew Doc from working with my sister Billie and my brother-in-law Eddie.  He was such a nice and pleasant person.  They both cared a great deal about him and he will be missed.  You and your family will be in my prayers.  Beverly

Susie my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in one of the most difficult times that we are called upon to carry our cross.

I lived across the road from the whole family as a child. Sondra and I used to make mud pies in their back yard and sing and play on their piano. I remember Steve having the same birthday as me but  he was a little older than me. ( had to throw that in there ) I remember his mom & dad so well . I loved it when they all would get together on their front porch and sing & play their guitars. Lots of great memories with the Edwards family. My thoughts and prayers go out to each one of you.
