Susie Baxter

Susie Dale Calhoun Baxter was born June 11, 1955, in Louisville Ky, unfortunately for us she was called home to be with the Lord on February 5th 2026, she is reunited with her Mother Margie, Father Delmer and her two sisters Sherly & Judy. She lived a life rooted in faith and devoted to Christ. Susie was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord showed through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. As the amazing wife, mother & grandmother she was, she raised her children & grandchildren with endless amount of love and in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always. Now that Susie has passed, we should remember that while this is the end of her physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of her eternal life free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty. Susie is survived by her Husband James Baxter Sr, her 4 children Delmer Baxter, Sheree Baxter, James Baxter (Tobey), Julie Sanchez (Angel), her 9 grandchildren Matthew, Johnny, Justin, Anthony, Ali, Marissa, Huda, Angel Jr, Arianna, her 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren who God willing will carry on her legacy of faith & love! I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith - 2 Timothy 4:7

A Funeral service will be private in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.
