Terry Lee Edwards, Sr.

   Terry Lee Edwards, Sr., age 78 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 7, 2023, with loving family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 25, 1944, to the late Alvin and Mary Lee Edwards. He was a member of Shepherdsville City Council for 16 years, a member of Bullitt Lodge #155 in Shepherdsville, Music Director and Deacon at East Side Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist Church in Shepherdsville and a Kentucky Colonel. He coached various sports for Cedar Grove Elementary School and Brooks Elementary School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ardella Bratcher, Ann Wells, Jerry Edwards and Wendy Statler.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley (Etherton) Edwards; daughter, Becky Edwards Brown (Steve); son, Buddy Edwards (Fawn); grandchildren, Whitney Edwards Devore (Aaron), Morgan Waits Roberts (Frankie), Allie Edwards, Austin Edwards, Parker Waits, Brice Edwards, Gracie Waits, Brooke Mazzoni, Emma Tobe, and Jet Tobe; great-grandchildren, A.J. Devore, Annie Devore, James Devore and Summer Roberts; brothers, Billy Edwards (Maxine) and Tommy Edwards (Jeanne); sisters, Brenda Cook (Mark), Marsha Slone (Mark), Cindy Cash (Mike), Alvina Eldridge (Lane) and Gina Lakes along with a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 2 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
