Thomas William Brooks, Sr.

Thomas William Brooks, Sr., age 88, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 12, 2021.  He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August1,1932, to Robert and Meredith Brooks. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cher Meredith; sisters, Marie Carter and Jean Winchell; brother, Robert Brooks. He was a marine veteran of Korean war, and owner of TBA-LLC for 40 years. TW was a generous and kind-hearted man, who never missed an opportunity to tell a joke or pull a prank—leaving behind memories of laughter that no one who knew him will forget.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sonny ‘Kang’ Brooks; children, Thomas William Brooks ,Jr. (Leann) and Chris Comstock; grandchildren, Angie Hill (Ben). Thomas William Brooks III (Brooke), Sheila Brooks, Emma Brooks. Amy Meredith (Matt), Holly Meredith (Richard), Kathleen Roberts (Colton) and Alex Comstock; great grandchildren, Alohna Hill, Anna Brooks, Ezra Brooks, Nora Brooks, Iris Brooks, Oliver Linde, Eli Schutz, Madeline Schutz, Savannah Roberts, Scarlett Roberts and Fallyn “Pepper” Bate ; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Herbron Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2 pm till 8 pm and on Thursday 8:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
