William Lyons Ball

William Lyons Ball, age 87, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 5, 2021.  William was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 11, 1934, to the late Joseph Robert and Margaret B. Lanham Ball. He was retired from Jefferson County Board of Education, a member of Summit Hill Baptist Church, a master gun smith and maker, officer at Jefferson County Sportsman Club, and a life member of the NRA. He is preceded in death by Patricia A. Ball his first wife and his parents. William leaves to cherish his memory his wife Myrtle Webb Ball; sons, William L. ‘Billy” Ball and John B. Ball: step son Carl Queener Jr. (Tara); step daughters Nancy Fuller (Luther) and Debbie Puckett (Jason): two brothers, Joe Ball III (Vicki) and Danny Ball (Wendy): two sisters, Mary Margaret Fox (Bill) and Sue Ann Jolly; grandchildren, Kyle Ball (Monica), Keith Ball (Jeanie), Megan Applegate (Charles) and Katie Kendall (Josh); step grandchildren, Scott Paige (Lauren). Andrew Paige (Alana), Mallory Hall and Jason Puckett Jr., Elizabeth Puckett; and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 9, 2021, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial   in Brookland Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Thursday from 1pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
