Wilma Lee Clark

Born on April 14, 1933, in Grayson County, Kentucky, Wilma was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Vonnie (Pryor) Spurrier. A devoted member of Overdale Global Methodist Church, she found joy in her faith and community. She previously worked in the lunchroom at Overdale Elementary School, where she touched the lives of many children.

Wilma had a deep love for flowers and enjoyed watching the birds, but her greatest passion was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, holding those memories closest to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Wavie Clark Jr.; her brother, Harlan Spurrier; and her brother-in-law, Kirby Wilson.

Wilma leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her sons, Martin Clark (Bonita) and Terry Clark (Fawn); her grandchildren, Matthew Clark (Kim) And Ashlee McDonough (Mike); and her great-grandchildren, Levi Clark, Brantley Clark, and Haylee Clark. She is also survived by her sister, Shelba Jean Wilson; her niece, Larissa Oliver; her great-niece, Meghan Gregory; her sister-in-law, Betty Spurrier; and a host of other dear family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Visitation will continue on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Brookland Cemetery.
