Richard Palmer Radeke was born on September 28, 1929 to Carl and Pearl Radeke in Champaign, Illinois. He passed away on May 12, 2017. The Radeke family moved to Seattle in 1945 where Dick attended Roosevelt High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Washington where he was affiliated with Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Richard attended OCS and spent four years in the Navy. Upon return to Seattle, he joined his brother in the family business, Contour Laminates. His brother Robert preceded him death. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia, daughters Ann Lindblad [Craig] and Mary Radeke. He also leaves his sister- and brother-in-law Mary Louise and Jack Halm, Robert's wife Brenda and son David Radeke. Niece Lindsay Halm [Nathan Buck and son Elliott], nephew Christopher Halm [Jennifer and daughter Naomi].
There will be a private memorial gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Mason Heart Institute or the Speech and Hearing Clinic at the University of Washington.
We will all miss him dearly.
