On Dec. 30th, Mr. Cleatus Borchert husband, father and grandfather passed away. He lived a long productive life and will be remembered as a man of few words with a strong work ethic and a straight to the point no bs attitude. His work ethic was engraved at an early age and continued throughout his life. He served in the US Air Force for 8 years, during which time motorcycles and racing became his life's long passion. After serving, he moved to Albany, GA where he was a service manager for Potter Motor Co. He also continued racing where he advanced in the ranks of the AMA flat track circuit and raced at the expert level for several years before retiring from racing in the early '70's. By that time, Clete had made his move to Atlanta to Harley Davidson before eventually starting Old Dude Vintage Parts & Service in the late 70's which he operated until his death. Clete was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Association since 1984 and a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association. He will be missed and is survived by his wife, Carol Borchert, 2 sons and daughters-in-laws Jeff and Linda Borchert, Bart and Emily Borchert and granddaughters, Madison and Miranda Borchert.
