

Cluvius “CG” Garrard Danner, age 97, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on April 2, 1928, in Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia, and was a longtime resident of Snellville, Georgia.
CG graduated from high school and later proudly served his country after being drafted into the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. He served in Korea, an experience he carried with honor and pride throughout his life.
On March 6, 1955, CG married the love of his life, Earlene Blakey of Danburg, Georgia. Together they shared 70 years of devotion, family, and faith.
He dedicated his strong work ethic to a long career as a machinist and mechanic. CG worked 29 years with Prestolite Battery Company in East Point, Georgia, and continued his skilled trade for another 26 years with CKS Plastics Company.
CG was a passionate fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He would always say, “I’ll take the Dawgs!” His love for football and gymnastics was only surpassed by his love for his family and his faith.
A devoted Christian, CG loved the Lord and lived with the assurance of eternal life. He looked forward with joy to seeing Jesus and reuniting with those who went before him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, and sister.
CG is survived by his beloved wife, Earlene Danner; his son and daughter and their spouses; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory, wisdom, and steadfast love.
His life was one of service, dedication, faith, and family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
