Elizabeth Ann Brown

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Brown, age 83 of Lilburn passed away August 30, 2012 of heart failure. Betty Sweeney was born July 13, 1929 in Detroit, MI and graduated from Mackenzie High School. Betty was a retired bookkeeper. She loved to paint ceramics and made Brown Family reunion t-shirts as gifts to her family. She was a 3rd grade Sunday School Teacher for 12 years at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Livonia, MI. She was most recently a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children; Richard Brown, Acworth, Kenneth Brown, Fountain Hills, AZ and Cynthia Brown, Snellville. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Rachel Joiner, Julie Hammer, Garrett Brown, Morgan Brown and Whitney Collins; and five great grandchildren, Isaiah Joiner, Jaden Joiner, Madeleine Hammer, Henry Hammer and Elijah Joiner. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22nd at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 1400 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn, GA 30047 followed by a reception in the fellowhsip hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lighthouse, 8610 Galen Wilson Blvd., Port Richey, FL 34668, Attention:Darlene or to the Emory Eye Center, 1365 B Clifton Rd., NE, 4th Flr, Atlanta, GA 30322, Attention: Nicolle Lewis.
