Florence Katherine Boehm

Florence was born in 1950 in Philadelphia, PA to mother Florence Mott Gerber. She graduated from Bellflower High School in California and later attended cosmetology school.

For years, Florence was a self-employed business-woman operating a successful residential cleaning service. She had deep faith and a caring heart. She worked for many years as a volunteer ombudsman serving seniors in assisted living facilities around the metro-Atlanta area.

Florence was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. Her love for gardening was evident from the mountains of tomatoes and vegetables filling her kitchen every Summer. She was an expert at sewing and had a dedicated room stocked with every sewing machine & gadget imaginable. Florence was an amazing cook and baker. She loved photography and was never without a camera in her hand at family gatherings. Along with her husband, Dan, she was a bird lover. Together they made their backyard into their own private bird sanctuary

Florence is survived by her loving husband, Dan Boehm and their beloved dogs, Eboni & Patches. Four children; Niles Wentz (Summer), Melisa Elson, Chad Elson and Ken Boehm (Elie). Eight grandchildren; Jeremy Wentz (Jacqueline), Trinity Wentz, Fynlee Wentz, Charles Graham, Olivia Elson, Dylan Boehm, Evan Boehm & Tyler Boehm and, two great-grandchildren Ryleigh Wentz and Blaire Boehm

She is also survived by her mother Florence Gerber & siblings George Gerber (Sharon), Pauline Holmes (Glenn) and Eugene Gerber (Laurie) and a large extended family.

Florence was preceded in death by her father Robert Gerber & brother Charles Gerber.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and health care professionals that cared for Florence during her struggles this past year. We appreciate all of their efforts and know that they did their very best to help.
