Gloria Biediger Stevens, 87, of Grayson, GA died January 26, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born December 31, 1923 in Schertz, TX, daughter of the late Lillie and Amos Biediger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years , Col. Charles A. Stevens, Jr. and daughter Candace Lee Kenney. As the wife of a career military officer, she had the opportunity to live in various parts of the country. She was very active in the Military Wives' Clubs, volunteering her time to raise money for different charitable organizations. Her favorite pastimes were flower gardening, reading cookbooks and cooking. She is survived by her sister, Ginger Bell of Arthur City, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Linda Stevens of Grayson, GA; grandchildren Paige Stevens; Tracey Stansell and husband Dwight; Chip Stevens and wife Celeste; Todd Stevens and wife Elizabeth; Billy Kenney and wife Maria; and 8 great-grandchildren.
