Mr. Willis was born in Charlotte, NC to Grady and Eva (Roland) Willis. He retired in 1998 as Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in McDonough, GA, having completed over 40 years of service for the USPS in addition to 50+ years working part-time as a butcher for several grocery store chains in the DeKalb/Gwinnett areas.
He is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Jo Ann (Ferguson), grandson Chad Willis of Tucker, brother Eddie Willis of Charlotte, NC, and sister Brenda Bradford of Jasper..
He is survived by his five children, Rick (Donna) of Dahlonega, Mark (Ginger) of Tucker, Lynn Estoclet (Danny) of Port Charlotte, FL, Jeff (Debbie) of Barnesville, and Debbie Sue Willis of Snellville;His sister, Betty Sue Dorton of Loganville: five grandchildren (Hunter, Channing, Noah, Morgan, and Axel), and six great-grandchildren (Hannah, Colby, Brystol, Paisley, Jase, Hayden, and Nash) plus one on the way in addition to his first great-great-grandchild expected any day now. Finally, he is survived by his Best Feline Friend, Sadie Rose 🐈⬛
