

Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and steady love shaped generations of her family. She found joy in the simple things that made a house feel like home — sewing clothes for her grandchildren’s dolls, working on puzzles, spending quiet hours reading, and caring for animals throughout her life. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her gentle presence, and the traditions she lovingly carried on throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick Bottchen; her children, Mike Bottchen and Linda Dalton; her sister, Betty Myers; and her brothers, Bud and Benji Kinney.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Bottchen; her son, John Bottchen and his wife, Andrea Bottchen; and her cherished grandchildren: Nicole Clayton (Tad), Jeremy Dalton (LB), Patricia Harris (Josh), Geoffrey Bottchen (Hannah), Emily Hulsey (Taylor), and Caroline Johnson (Garrett). She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren: Cora and Luke Clayton; Kason Dalton; Aidan, Camryn, Emilia, and Jamie Harris; Atlas and Rowan Bottchen; Harper, Sadie, and Truett Hulsey; and Hudson Johnson.
Joanne’s family will remember her as the heart of many treasured memories and family traditions. Her love, kindness, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Services for Joanne Bottchen will be held on May 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Snellville, Georgia. A small reception will be held after the service.
