

John Everett Dickerson, 84, of Stone Mountain, passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him most.
A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, he found his greatest joy outdoors. His favorite place to be Peachstate Sportsman Club, where he hunted for many years and made countless memories. There, he felt at home embracing the quiet of the woods, the camaraderie of fellow sportsmen, and the traditions he cherished deeply. Whether hunting or fishing, those moments brought him peace and joy and were often the source of his best stories.
Above all, John was a family man who showed his love through his actions, steady presence, and unwavering support. He valued hard work, integrity, and the appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, lessons he passed on to those he loved.
He is survived by Jimmy and Sandy Dickerson, Larry and Lorrie Dickerson, His children Johnny and Kathy Dickerson, Tammy Dickerson and Shannon Eichler, and Billy and Renee Dickerson. His grandchildren Heath and Kayli Dickerson, Hunter Dickerson, Noah and Heather Campbell, and Spencer Dickerson.
He is preceded in death by William and Lollie Dickerson, Lamar and Annette Dickerson, Hershel and Ann Duffey.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm on February 21, 2026, at 1045 Eagle Drive, Monticello GA 31064 on Jackson Lake. In honor of his love for the outdoors, the family invites guests to dress in camouflage for the occasion.
