Age 87 of Snellville, Georgia. September 22, 2011. Passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Dear mother of Sandra (Garold) Caudill, Karen (Robert) Wiland and Debby (Greg) Dechko. She was pre-deceased by her husbands, Dean Payne & Robert Pounder; her daughter Frances (Frank) Patterson and grandson-in-law Matthew Blake; dear grandmother/great grandmother of Kerri (Brad) Calhoun, Kayla & Rob; Hazel Blake, Anthony Peplinski, Kevin Peplinski , Hunter Wiland; Jonathan (Crystal) Dechko, Dean & Gabe; Cassandra (Shaun) Thamer, Amber & Brian. Following Katherine’s retirement from retail sales in 1989, she pursued a second career until she was 85 caring for preschool children at Snellville UMC. She was fondly referred to as “Miss Katherine”. She was active in church & belonged to several fraternal organizations, where she held many offices.
