

He was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church for over 60 years.
Larry graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School in 1963 and after completing his basic training for the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and working full time he graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Janet, one week after graduating from Tech and they began their journey together. Larry was an entrepreneur and loved retail. He opened his first independent men’s retail clothing store in 1968 and his business grew into eight locations in metro Atlanta. The Gentry Shop remained a prominent source for men’s and women’s clothing for 26 years. He wore many hats as well including real estate broker, home construction and remodeling, landscaper and anything he decided he could do.
Larry always put God and his family first and loved them unconditionally. He was always proud and supportive of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he lived by example. His heart was so big and he loved people from all walks of life and leaves behind a strong legacy of love and compassion for everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Capers S. Glenn, sisters Carolyn Glenn Wright, Dorothy Glenn Hawley, Laurie Glenn Paul, Marigene Glenn Moon, and his brothers William Edward Glenn, Eddie Douglas Glenn and Charles Gilmer Glenn.
Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Glenn, daughter Julie (Jeff) Hubener of McDonough, GA, son William C. Bo (Karen) Glenn of Locust Grove, GA, grandchildren Ainsleigh (Zach) Wilson, Cody Hubener, Katie and Ethan Glenn, great grandchildren McKinna, Peyton and Anders Wilson, Sister and brother-in-law Anne and Bud Campbell, sister-in-law Shirley Glenn along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A a visitation for Larry will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon.
