Mary was born on February 19, 1936 in Jackson County, GA to Clyde and Sadie Elrod.
Mary's family moved to Decatur, GA in the mid forties. She graduated from Clarkston High School in 1953.
Mary and her deceased husband, Jack, built houses and developed subdivisions in Gwinnett County for over three decades.
Mary became known affectionately as Nanny when her grandchildren came along.
She was a devoted Christian and a friend to everyone. Someone once remarked, "Mary's job seems to be that of attending weddings, visiting the sick, and going to funerals."
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of Fifty-one years, Jack Livsey, three sons; Steve Clack, Tony Livsey and Mark Livesey and two Grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her five children: Danny Clack, Stone Mountain, Beth Livsey Giles, Frisco, Texas, John Clack, Watkinsville, Joel Clack, Lawrenceville, Joy Clack Robinson, Monroe, 15 Grandchildren, and 22 Great -Grandchildren.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. A funeral will occur Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. A committal will occur Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084.
