I just learned of Mary Ann's death. I am so sad. Mary Ann and I go back to the 70's along with my sister Gene. Gene worked with her at dynatron bondo and then I worked with her at the Insurance Commissioner's Office. We were friends before we became coworkers. I have so many fun memories of the three of us. It's so easy to let time get away and then regret not keeping in touch. Sonya, you may remember Gene and me (Roddenberry) We loved your mother. She was one of a kind and now is in a better place.

I was sad to hear about Mary Ann.  I talked to her frequently when she worked at the State.   She was witty and fun to talk to.  We both fantasized about going to Italy and France - especially Venice.  I hope her spirit makes it there for a long and happy visit.

Mary Ann and I became friends in the mid-seventies, while employed at the GA Dept. of Defense.  Both single parents, we shared numerous experiences with love and much laughter.
Beautiful, personality plus, and a contagious laugh:  that was Mary Ann.

It is with a heavy heart I send this message to my very best friend Sonja French, about the passing of her dear Mother.  She had to be a wonderful person to have raised such a wonderful daughter.  I regret that I didn't have the priviledge of knowing her.  She is in a wonderful place now and enjoying life on the other side.  I know all her family and friends will greatly miss her but God called her home for a special assignment.  So I pray for her Family and friends that they find peace in their hearts and know they will one day see their dear Family member and friend again.  She will always be with you.

Wow!  Where do I start. To the Family of Mary Ann: I am so disheartened to hear about Mary Ann's illness and death.  She was like my 'office auntie.' Mary Ann always had a smile on her face each day at the office, so I always thought she never had a bad day at the work. She was so full of life, so caring and giving. It hurts me to know that she didn't get to enjoy her retirement to the fullest as I know she would have.  However, knowing Mary Ann, she is up there with the Gods finally enjoying eternal retirement!!  Mary Ann, I love you!  Rest in Everlasting Peace!  Wanda Butler, SFMO

With teary eyes remembering her since working at the FMO office with her since 2002 she was ALWAYS a friend, a confidant, a shoulder to cry on during those difficult times in life EVEN as a co-worker. She was special to me and I'll never forget Mary-Ann ;) 
I pray continued strength for the family.

I was very sad to learn of Mary Ann's death.  We became fast friends from the first day she came to the State Fire Marshal's Office.  My first memories of are of us sitting across from each other in the office and me trying to get past the cigarettes she would light and then leave in the ashtray to burn themselves out.  We had a lot of laughs together, including laughing at her inability to follow directions to get from her house in Conyers, to mine in College Park, twice.  She was a wonderful person and I loved her very much.  The last time we talked we discussed getting together after my retirement at the end of 2011, but sadly, we were never able to do so.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter.  We'll all miss "Ganga" very much.

My heart was saddened to know that MaryAnn had been ill and now had left us here. We were telephone co-workers for a long, long time and then finally met face to face before she retired. What a joy. Mary Ann coordinated the Life Safety Code surveys which were done concurrently with the Health Care surveys that I handle so, although we were in different state agencies, we worked together for many years.  She was funny, helpful and full of joy and life.  She loved her family very much and frequently kept me up to date on what was happening. Her sense of humor has been missed since her retirement.   I was saddened to learn of her death.  She will be missed.  Debbie Travis
