Nina Allen Smalley, 88, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, in Snellville. Nina was born on February 25, 1923 in Anderson, SC to Ernest and Ethel Allen. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Smalley was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church who loved to tell stories, write and play games. She really enjoyed life. Nina is preceded in death by her husband James A. Smalley, her parents, sisters Eva Allen Marshall, Clemmie Allen Arbuthnot and Margie Allen Parsons and brothers Isom Allen and E.C. Allen. Survivors include her daughter Janet Yoest and husband Dan, sons Michael Smalley and John Smalley and wife Susan of CA, brothers Hubert Allen and wife Charletta and Walton Allen and wife Mary, seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012, in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rob Burdette officiating. Entombment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
