Ramon Sanchez, son of the late Jesus Sanchez and Felicita Ramos, was born on March 25, 1945 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. One of twelve children, there was never a dull moment in the Sanchez house. He was known to make everyone laugh, Ramon loved to help everyone he encountered. He was known for maintaining his father's farm, going shopping, playing games with his brothers and sisters, swimming in rivers and beaches and climbing trees.
When Ramon was seventeen, he migrated to Bradley Beach, New Jersey. Not knowing much English when arriving, he ordered the only things he knew how to say at every diner, "sunny side eggs and ham" and "hamburger" is what he ate. Ramon loved to cook and would make sure everyone ate before he did. He loved to give back to those in need, Out of all of the brothers, Ramon was the only dancer and loved dancing the Merengue, Cumbia and Salsa. Everyone would always want him as their partner and boy could he get down.
His first job was at a flower farm, then a cheese factory and later he retired from Jersey Shore Medical Center as an Environmental Service Specialist in 2005. Ramon and his wife, Nereida decided they wanted a change and moved to Snellville, GA after retirement. He loved farming so much that he created one in his back yard which included plenty of roosters, chickens, pigeons, and vegetables and he was always giving away eggs.
Ramon was loved by everyone he came across. Always smiling, laughing and telling jokes. He was truly a living legend and will be missed by many!
His life was as beautiful as flowers and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. Ramon peacefully transitioned into an eternal rest on May 9, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Natividad Sanchez and Segundo Sanchez and grandson David Hale.
Ramon's life will forever live on and be cherished through his wife of 39 years, Nereida Sanchez, children Ramon "Prince", Jr., David, Pamela, Aleida and Rickie, daughters-in-law Rhonda, Kristina and Lisa, son-in-law Ryan, grandsons Prince, Devan, Saul, Rickie, Wise, Brennan, Tahj, Jullian, Chase, Kamil and Izaiah, great-granddaughters Arianna, Zamyah, Royal'e, brothers Adrian, Rafael, Santos and David, sisters Carmen, Cruz, Glosel, Paula and Socorro, brother-in-law Nicmedes, sisters-in-law Nany, Luz and Diane and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
