Of course, I knew Randy from Woods. And somehow, after coming there for years, I never realized that he and Tammy were husband and wife.. I just want to say thank you both for always putting the critters first. You personify what the veterinarian industry used to be, and needs to be once again.. you care about the critters. I thank you for years of kindness and genuine concern based upon love of life and not greed. We could all take a lesson from the way Randy and Tammy lived their life and I want you to know. I appreciate you for taking care of my Friday while he was with me and for taking care of many of the other critters in my extended family.
You both made a genuine impression upon me and I appreciate you for the decent human beings that you both truly are. I will forever remember Randy and his kindness. Thank you for being there and fighting the good fight. May God bless and keep your soul Randy. And may you be surrounded by your friend’s family and beloved critters for eternity.

For approximately 23 years, me and my wife have went to Woods Animal Hospital. Randy was just one of the finest individuals you could ever want to come across. He and  Mrs. Tammy have been like family to us. I remember I would be sitting in my car and Randy would come over to my car and start telling me jokes.  When a pet had to be put down both Randy and Mrs. Tammy treated you like family and literally cried with us.  Randy you are and will forever be missed my friend. Heaven gained one Georgia Bulldog loving angel and fun loving guy when you walked through Heaven's gate.

Dear Tammy and Family,

It was an honor to call Randy my friend.  Better still, a privilege that he cared for all our dogs.

What a loss to us here on Earth - but just think, Randy is in Heaven with Dr. Woods loving and caring for all the animals that have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Just remember "ALL DAWGS GO TO HEAVEN"

In time, may the many memories of Randy fill your hearts and minds with laughter and joy.

We met Randy in I think 1995 after adopting 2 rescue dogs - Jabba the Hutt was a big golden retriever/St Bernard, and Junebug was a really dumb but gentle some kind of red dog, and we usually had a cat around too.  It would always be so crowded when we were at Dr. Woods, with people and animals everywhere - and Randy would be in the middle of it all, dealing with the serious issues quickly, being so kind and gentle with anyone bringing in a pet at the end of its life, and politely but clearly dealing with the pet owners that were annoying.  He was a lot of fun to talk to, and had an amazing way of dealing with animals that others had a hard time handling.  I can’t imagine him doing anything else because he loved animals so much.  I am so, so sorry he has passed away.  What an awesome guy.

I had to very unique dogs Yoshi and Jentai. Randy  always remembered my dogs ...he said he'd never seen this breed before but he took care of them like they were his own. We would joke about Ohio State football. I felt like he knew every dog by name. He was one of the best with my dogs and many many others. Randy,  you will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family and friends and all the animals that will miss you.  Truly Tanaka

I will always remember Randy for the love and compassion that he showed to our family. When our dog Stewie was dying, Randy held him in his arms and spoke to him, telling him that he would be free of pain. This beautiful and loving gesture at the most difficult time for us helped lift the burden from our shoulders and made us and Stewie feel enveloped with love as our sweet pup left this Earth. I hope that Randy felt (and feels) all of that same deep love energy (and more!) back. Randy is such a pure soul and will be forever missed. Thank you, Tammy and family, for letting us celebrate Randy’s life and legacy with you.

I’m also so thankful that Randy got to meet Nicko, my new baby boy. It made me so happy to see how much Nicko made him smile. Randy always found his tiny size so amusing, and I loved that something about Nicko brought out this warm, joyful reaction in him every time they saw each other. I’m very happy Nicko could bring a little light and laughter to someone who meant so much to us! Randy will forever be missed, but the love and kindness he shared will always stay with us.

I will always be grateful to Randy for the love and care he gave my babygirl. I'm especially thankful that he let me be more involved in her care, especially as she got older, those moments taught me so many valuable lessons that no other vet ever could have. I’ll never forget the first time Randy told us to get a pee sample for Nicky, it made me laugh haha, because in the eight years I had taken her to the vet, no one had ever asked me to do that. It wasn’t that it was hard, just so uncommon. But that moment stuck with me, because it showed how different Randy and the team were, they were hands-on, thoughtful, and truly believed in letting owners be as involved as possible in their babies’ care. That meant everything to me. His practice was the first to truly include me like that, and it left a lasting mark on my heart. It never just felt like a vet’s office, it felt like family, and I truly loved that feeling.

Woods Animal Hospital just won't be the same without Randy there. He was always supportive, empathetic, and always a friend. He has been there for every dog I have owned, going back over 30 years. Rest in peace Randy. Hugs and prayers for your family. You will be missed.

Randy was there every step of the way for all of my pets along with my family’s pets.  For every tear he always had a smile and a solution! Randy was the best part of Woods Animal Hospital and he will forever be missed. Thank you Randy for always being there for all of us!
