Reese David Brewer

Beloved son of Essie and Ralph Brewer, he was a native of Franklin county, Georgia.

He was married for 50 years to his sweetheart, Louise (Fleming) Brewer, who preceded him in

death. His sister, Arlie Floyd, also preceded him in death. She and her family lived next door to

him for many years.

While a very young man he served his home church, Carnesville Baptist in Carnesville, GA in

many ways including ordering Sunday school materials and serving as the church treasurer.

During World War II, he worked at the LeTourneau plant in Toccoa, GA manufacturing heavy

machinery used for the war effort.

Moving his parents to Atlanta, GA, Reese worked for the Ford Motor Company in East Point,

GA, for 35 years, and he and Louise were faithful members of Lakeview Baptist church in

DeKalb county, and later Mt. Zion Baptist and Sunrise Baptist Church in Snellville, GA.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Tammy, Lawrenceville, GA, and

grandchildren Lauren and Ben Brown, and Kerri Brewer.

He is also survived by sisters-in-law Marie Browne and Leota Norwood as well as many beloved

nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4 from 2:30-4:00 pm with a service following at 4 pm. The service will be followed by burial at Eternal Hills Cemetary.
