Bob Jones went to the Lord and joined his wife on August 10, 2015. Robert Jones was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia on December 21, 1930. He married Dorothy Lee Crase in 1953 and retired from the Air Force and moved to Stone Mountain in 1967. They spent 60 years together in marriage. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Diane Jones, and by his wife Dorothy, who passed away on March 13, 2014. He was beloved by all, especially the children of many generations. They ran Jones Grocery in the center of town. He is survived by his two two sons, Dennis Wayne Jones and David Layne Jones, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, James Jones, Dianne Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Christine Jones, Emma Jones, Evan Jones, Adam Jones, Aaron Jones, Afton Jones, Todd Letcher, Elizabeth Benedict, Zack Jones and Dylan Jones and Kirby Jones. He was the last living member of the Dewitt and Maude Jones family, brothers, Ronald, Harold, Del, Hugh and sisters Mary-Anne and Audrey. Funeral Services will be held Friday August 14, 2015, 11:00 AM at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at a viewing on Thursday August 13 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Eternal Hill Funeral Home in Snellville.
