Thomas Edmond Brown, age 86, of Lawrenceville, passed away March 31, 2012. Thomas proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during WW II as a Navy Seaman First Class and served aboard the USS Tangier. Mr. Brown came to Atlanta in 1950 and lived in Decatur until 1977 until moving to Stone Mountain, Ga. He was a member of the Belvedere United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and golf and was a member of the Decatur Sportsmans Club. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gertrude; daughters, Patrice Scott and husband Randy of Tallahassee, FL, Michelle Hillis and husband Alan of Lawrenceville; son, Edmond Brown, Atlanta and grandchildren Hannah, Sam, Zachary, A.J. and Allie. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Eternal Hills Chapel with Rev. Chris Owens and Associate Pastor David Powers officiating. Interment, Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with military honors.
