

Thomas was born on September 29, 1940 and was from the Atlanta area. He was a parts manager for Automatic Ice Maker with the Empire Corporation until his retirement. Thomas was known for his quick wit, sharp mechanical skills and was a man who could fix anything. Most of all, he loved the Lord, his family, especially his grandkids who brought joy to his life and he treasured spending time with each of them.
Thomas was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded death by his mother and father: Ethel Pirkle Roland and Loren Roland of Dawson County GA and his sister (and her husband): Lorene (and Mutt) Hiott from Mansfield, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa “Terry” Roland of Snellville, daughter, Sherry Bearden (husband David) of Woodstock, daughter, Amy Wilson (husband Pat) of Loganville, grandchildren: Dustin Bearden of Woodstock, Rebecca Barnes (husband Nick) of Jefferson City TN, Patrick and Thomas Wilson of Loganville and sister, Mary Harris of Lilburn, GA.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Due to the covid virus there are no services planned at this time, however a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
