

Anthony was born September 4th, 1919, in Ludlow, MA, son of the late John and Augusta (Almeida) Costa. After graduating from Wilby High School, Anthony attended Capitol Engineering Institute in Washington, DC & the University of Connecticut Center for Contract Administration. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney until his retirement in 1965.
He was a US Naval Petty Officer during WW II & the Korean Conflict, having served on the US Naval carrier Currituck. He was an active member in the AFL/CIO Machinist Local 1746A, and the Jackson Naval Air Association. He was also employed by the Atomic Nuclear Engine Laboratory until the project ended.
He is survived by his daughters Judith C. Purcell, Andrea Homewood and her husband William, grandchildren: Jaclyn Carey & her husband James, Gregory Homewood and Corey Homewood, great grandson James Carey, Jr.
Private services were held. Arrangements were handled by DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott
