Born in Southington on Sept. 3, 1917, the son of the late Peter and Rose (Gagliardi) Palmieri, He was a longtime resident of Southington, Arthur was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He formerly owned and operated two gas stations in North Haven and Clinton. Art was an avid gardener and loved to dance with his wife, everyone loved to watch them dance and they called them Fred and Ginger. He enjoyed spending time with his son and loved his wife?s cooking he also enjoyed playing bocci and was an animal lover
He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Palmieri, with whom he made his home, 2 grandsons, Jeffery and Andrew Palmieri and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Arthur Palmieri Jr. and 10 brothers and sisters
The Funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, Burial with Military honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 10-11a.m.
