Atea Angelone

She was born June 14, 1954 in Southington, daughter of the late Josephine (Parker) Martin and Leo (Spider) Travers and the step daughter of Janet (Holmquist) Travers of Plainville. She had been employed by Newington Children's Hospital for 20 years.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Sidlik of Bristol, Stephen Sidlik of New Britain, Atea, Victoria, Anthony and Katherine Angelone all of Southington, 3 brothers, Charles Travers of Sandisfield, MA, Aaron Travers and his wife Dawn of Southington, Matthew Pipke and his wife Paula of Terryville, her beloved sister, Scarlett St. Germain and her husband Paul of Terryville, 2 aunts, Jobie Travers and a very special aunt Trudy Parker both of Southington, 2 grandchildren, Xavier Oakes and Nathaniel Jepeal, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special niece Rachel Trudell of W. Hartford. She was predeceased by a step brother David Holmquist.

She was a gourmet cook, an avid gardener and animal lover, she will be missed for her generosity to all that knew her.

The Funeral will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at South End Cemetery.
