He was born in Hartford on July 6, 1950. He was employed by the U.S Dept. of Defense. Barry was a member of the Pattaconk Yacht Club in Chester and was a certified Observer for the National Weather Service.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Samek) O?Brien and his beloved mother-in-law Florence Samek of New Britain. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Judy Caron.
His family would like to thank the staff at Walnut Hill Care Center in New Britain for the wonderful care he received.
A Memorial Mass will be on Thurday December 2, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Thomas Church 99 Bristol St.in Southington.
