

Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" (Drolet) Perigard of Waterbury, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the age of 95. She was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, her husband and best friend, Raymond A Perigard. Bea was born in Waterbury on June 3, 1924, daughter of the late Henry and Aurore (Richard) Drolet. There were twelve children in the Drolet family who lived in Waterbury and Bea had to assist her mother with the raising of her younger siblings. For many years, she worked in the office of Lombard Brothers Trucking Co. on Mill St. and eventually retired as bookkeeper from Ace Van and Storage. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Church where she was an active member of their Mothers' Club, The Children of Mary and the Ladies of St. Anne. Her legacy will be carried on by her two sons, Robert and his wife Janice Perigard, of Waterbury, Raymond and his wife Cheryl Perigard of Savannah, GA, and by her three daughters, Therese and her husband Edward Wagner of Waterbury, Cecile Pettit, who cared for and resided with her in her home, and Estelle and her husband Charles Berthiaume of Middlebury. She was "grandma" to ten grandchildren and "GG" to seventeen great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Helen Bouffard, Jeannette Desjardins, Henriette Evangelista, Roger Drolet and Blanche Lipps. Besides her husband, Bea was predeceased by her brothers Rene and Emile Drolet, and her sisters Yvonne LaMadeline, Esther Synkowicz, Lorraine Beland and Claire Moreau. Bea's family would like to thank her private aide, Donna, for the wonderful care she gave her and with whom she spent many pleasant hours for the past two years. The family would also like to thank VITAS Health Care for their outstanding and compassionate care in her final weeks. In her later years, she was a parishioner of Mary Mother of the Church Parish and her life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM on Tuesday, February 18th at St. Leo the Great Church located at 14 Bentwood Dr. in Waterbury. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
