Bryan attended Southington schools and graduated from Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden with a focus on electrical studies.
In his teens and twenties he worked at small engine repair shops in Milldale, Plainville and Prospect. For a short time he was an electrical apprentice before deciding to start his own business in lawn care.
He was owner and operator of BMS Property Maintenance. He put his heart and soul into his business and took great pride in the work he did for his customers. Bryan loved having his Dad help out and it meant the world to Dad to be part of “the crew”.
He had a knack for repairing almost anything, and if he had the time he was always willing to help anyone that needed a hand. One of his unique hobbies included collecting glass insulators. He loved anything classic and nostalgic. He was also fascinated with Civil Defense Sirens, specifically the Thunderbolt. And he really loved his Ford trucks. He was a member of the National Insulator Association and a past member of Bristol Fish and game. Though life may have been challenging for him at times, he never gave up on his dreams.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Mark and Donna, his Aunts and Uncles, Jeffrey & Joyce Skwiot, Eileen Basilone & Chris Shea, Cousins, Timothy Skwiot, Tommy Vogel, Sandie Vogel, Eric Spalter and Sarah Chavez, and his many friends. He was predeceased by his Grandparents, Joseph and Marie Skwiot, and Francis and Jean Blum.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 11 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Memorial calling hours will be held prior to the service starting at 10AM at the funeral home.
