

He was born December 22, 1946 in Waterbury and was the son of the late Nicholas and Nancy (Bellini) DiNicholas.
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was employed by SNET/SBC/AT&T for many years before he retired. He was a union member of CUTW Local 1298 and past president of Plant Local 4. Carl enjoyed music, fishing, boating, camping and working in his yard, but most of all he loved to spend his time with his family. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and UCONN women’s basketball. He was also a big fan of the Lone Ranger who believed “to have a friend a man must be one”.
In addition to his wife Miriam he leaves his children Donna Parenteau and husband Greg of Wolcott, Dana Tilton and husband Glenn of Port St. Lucie, FL, Nicole Monteiro and husband Jeremy of Southington and Timothy Flynn and wife Alicia of Southington; two sisters Vivian Bellemare and husband James of Bristol and Barbara Gentile and Pasquale Guerrera of Wolcott; eight grandchildren Gregory, Patrick, Sarah, Rachel, Aurianna, Kaitlyn, Ayva and Dalton; great-grandson Adam and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17th at 11:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial with military honors will follow at the CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown at 1 p.m. Calling hours will be prior to the service starting at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
